The Gateway is a distinctive riverfront home in the mountains. Before choosing your dates, review these practical details about the loft, riverfront, mountain access, rural utilities, seasonal amenities, and required guest waivers.
The Gateway is designed primarily for couples and sleeps up to four guests. The private primary bedroom includes a king bed, while the open loft includes a queen bed and is accessed by a ladder from the primary bedroom. The loft is not an enclosed second bedroom and does not offer the same privacy or accessibility.
The Gateway includes stairs, a loft accessed by ladder, and outdoor areas with uneven natural terrain. The home may not be suitable for every guest. Please review the layout carefully and contact 29 Nights before booking with any accessibility questions.
The Gateway sits directly above the Skykomish River, but guests may not enter or access the river from the property. For safety and liability reasons, guests must sign a waiver agreeing to follow this restriction. Dogs and children must be closely supervised near the riverfront area.
For legal and compliance purposes, 29 Nights collects the full name, email address, and mobile number of each guest after booking. Guests are also required to complete the applicable spa-amenity and liability waivers before arrival.
The Gateway is located along Highway 2 in the Skykomish Valley, where weather and road conditions can change quickly—especially during winter. Guests should review the forecast and current Highway 2 conditions before traveling and arrive in a vehicle prepared for snow and mountain driving.
The Gateway is equipped with an automatic backup generator capable of operating through multi-day power outages. If utility service is interrupted, the generator helps keep the home comfortable and functional so guests can continue enjoying their stay.
An active rail line runs on the far side of Highway 2, roughly 175 yards from The Gateway. From time to time, guests may hear a train whistle in the distance. Most find the sound peaceful and charming, but we include this note so light sleepers know what to expect.
The outdoor shower and dog-washing station are closed during freezing winter conditions. The hot tub, barrel sauna, and other primary amenities remain available year-round unless guests are notified of temporary maintenance.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at The Gateway. Guests are responsible for supervising their dogs, following the property’s pet rules, cleaning up after them, and keeping them away from restricted river-access areas.
